Using the POS (Point of Sale)
The YellowPOS point-of-sale screen lets you process in-store sales quickly — add products, apply discounts, take payment, and close the transaction in a few taps. It works on any device: phone, tablet, or desktop.
1. Open the POS
From your dashboard sidebar, click POS. The POS screen loads your full product catalog, organised by category tabs. Make sure you've added at least one category and product first — if the catalog is empty, you'll need to add products before you can ring up a sale.

2. Add items to the cart
Tap or click any product card to add it to the cart on the right. Tap the same product again to increase the quantity, or type directly into the quantity field in the cart. If a product has variants (size, colour, etc.), a picker appears so you can choose the right option before adding. You can also search for products by name using the search bar at the top, or scan a barcode with your device camera if you've set up barcodes on your products.
3. Apply a discount (optional)
To give a discount on the whole order, enter a value in the discount field at the bottom of the cart. You can apply a fixed amount (e.g. $5 off) or a percentage (e.g. 10%). The order total updates instantly. Per-item discounts can be set by editing the item in the cart.
4. Assign a customer (optional)
If you want to link the sale to a specific customer — for example to track purchase history or record a debt — search for them in the client field and select their name. The sale will then appear in their client profile. You can leave this blank for anonymous walk-in sales.
5. Choose a payment method
Select how the customer is paying: Cash, Whish Money, or Card. For cash payments, enter the amount the customer hands over and the POS automatically calculates the change to give back. For Whish, the system records the payment method against the order. Once you confirm, the transaction is complete.
6. Complete the sale
Press Complete Sale. The order is saved instantly, product stock levels are decremented automatically, and the sale flows through to your Orders list and Reports. If you have WhatsApp notifications enabled, you'll get a notification for the new order. The cart clears and you're ready for the next customer.
