Managing Orders
Every order placed from your store or menu shows up in the Orders section. This guide explains how to view them, understand the details, record payment, handle returns, and use export and reports.
Where orders appear
As soon as a customer completes checkout (whether they used your shop link or your menu link), the order is created and listed under Orders in the app. In the list you’ll see a summary: customer name and contact, the items they ordered, the total, the payment method they chose (cash or Whish), and when delivery is selected, the delivery address. From there you can open any order to see the full details and take action.
Order details and status
Click an order to open it and see the full list of items, quantities, and prices. You can add or edit notes (e.g. “Leave at door” or “Call on arrival”) and use the order view to track fulfilment. If the customer chose delivery, the delivery address is shown and there’s a link to open the location in Google Maps — use it when you’re out delivering so you go to the right place without extra calls or messages.
Recording payment
Once you’ve actually received the payment — whether it was cash on delivery or a Whish transfer — mark the order as paid from the order screen. Doing this keeps your records accurate so your reports and analytics reflect real revenue, and you can easily see which orders are still outstanding.
Returns
If a customer returns one or more items, use the Return action on that order. You can process a full return (whole order) or a partial return (only some items). The system records the return so your inventory and sales reports stay correct and you have a clear history of what was sold versus what came back.
Export and reports
You can export the orders list to PDF or CSV for your own records, accounting, or backup. For a high-level view of sales — totals, trends over time, or comparisons between periods — use the Reports and Analytics sections; they’re covered in the Reports & Analytics guide.
