Accepting Orders & Payments

This guide explains how checkout works on YellowPOS: how customers place orders, how delivery and address work, which payment options you can offer, and what happens after an order is placed.

Checkout flow

Customers browse your store or menu, add items to the cart, and click through to checkout. On the checkout page they enter their name and contact details (phone, email). If you’ve enabled delivery, they’ll enter or pick their address — and here YellowPOS can use Google Maps: Places autocomplete helps them type an address quickly, and a map picker lets them drop a pin so you get an exact location. That makes it easier for you to deliver without getting lost or calling back to confirm. As soon as they complete the order, it appears in your Orders list in the app so you can fulfil and track it.

Payment methods

YellowPOS supports cash on delivery (customer pays when they receive the order) and Whish (money transfer). You turn each option on or off in your store settings and, for Whish, you enter your Whish number so customers know where to send the transfer. At checkout, the customer selects their preferred method. Each order stores the chosen method, so when you’re fulfilling you know whether to collect cash or expect a Whish payment — no guesswork.

After the order

Right after placing an order, customers see a thank-you page that summarises what they ordered and the total. If they chose delivery, the page includes a link to the delivery location on Google Maps so they can double-check the address. On your side, the order shows up in the app with the same map link — you can open it when you’re ready to deliver and navigate straight there. Notifications and emails (when configured) help keep you and the customer aligned so everyone knows the order is confirmed and on its way.

Security

Checkout is protected with reCAPTCHA, so bots and automated abuse are much less likely to submit fake orders. Always share and use the official YellowPOS checkout link (your store or menu URL) so customers aren’t sent to a copycat site. Keep your account password strong and don’t share it; that way payment choices and customer data stay under your control and stay safe.
