Selling Digital Products

Digital products are files that customers buy and download — a PDF guide, a photo pack, a music track, a design template. There's no delivery, no stock to manage, and no packaging. Once you upload the file and set a price, the rest is automatic.

1. What counts as a digital product?

Anything you deliver as a file download: PDFs, e-books, templates, spreadsheets, presets, photos, illustrations, audio files, video courses, or software. The customer pays, and they get a link to download the file — no address, no courier, no waiting.

2. Creating a digital product

Go to Products and click to add a new product. In the product form, set the Type to Digital. You'll see a file upload field — attach the file your customers will download (PDF, ZIP, image pack, etc.). Then fill in the product name, description, and price as you would for any other product.

There's no stock field for digital products — you don't run out of a file. Set a cover image so it looks good on your store or menu, just like any physical product.

3. How customers get their download

When a customer places an order that includes a digital product, they receive an order confirmation email with a download link for each digital item. The link is tied to their specific order and lets them download the file directly. They don't need an account — the link in the email is all they need.

On the order confirmation page after checkout, the download link is also shown immediately so customers can get the file right away without waiting for the email.

4. Pricing in USD and LBP

Digital products support the same dual-currency pricing as physical products. You can set a USD price, an LBP price, or both. Whatever currency settings you've chosen in Personalisation apply — so if your store shows prices in USD, digital products show in USD too. There's nothing extra to configure.

5. Managing digital orders

Digital orders appear in Orders just like physical orders. You can see which items were digital and mark the order as complete. Because there's no fulfillment to coordinate (no packing or shipping), digital orders are usually complete the moment the customer pays.

If a customer has trouble downloading their file, you can find their order and resend the confirmation email from the order detail view.
